Iron & Wine – Beast Epic

Coming from little Old Town of Chapin, in South Carolina, where he was born and raised, Samuel Ervin Beam, a.k.a, Iron & Wine, has already released five full length studio albums and has achieved an immense success for the simplicity he prints into his music. The formula is the more than known in the Folk Genre, marvelously applied in this case by Sam. He his back now with the release of his new work titled “Beast Epic”. But is it really?

Grizzly Bear – “Painted Ruins”

Grizzly Bear was the nickname of Ed Droste’s boyfriend at the same time that the band was actually just a solo project in 2002. Two years later he releases his first work with the collaboration of his to be drummer, Christopher Bear. “Horn of Plenty” was an Hypnotizing piece performed live with their to be bassist Chris Taylor. However Ed remember those first shows as their worse and resembles the band only really starts when Daniel Rossen, an old friend from jazz camp, joined them live with another guitar. And the whole scary situation of a solo project was gone with the wind for the somehow shy Ed.

Iron & Wine – Bearded Epic Beast

Coming from little Old Town of Chapin, in South Carolina, where he was born and raised, Samuel Ervin Beam, a.k.a, Iron & Wine, has already released five full length studio albums and has achieved an immense success for the simplicity he prints into his music. The formula is the more than known in the Folk Genre, marvellously applied in this case by Sam. He his back now in 2017 to release in August his new Album named “Beast Epic” under SubPop Records. Will his Indie Folk be great Again?

How To Be A Famous Band Without An Album – by Cigarettes After Sex

In June 2008, in Texas, El Paso, Greg Gonzalez started this project, that only in 2012 had its first EP released, by the name of “I”. Four tracks that helped to consolidate the Youtube fame that was noticeable almost since the beginning of the band. An extraordinary marketing campaign done by their brand image and live shows towards an audience that just got bigger, first in Youtube, and more recently as well in Spotify.

Photay – The Future of Electronic

Coming from Woodstock, that exact same one, Evan Shornstein arose to the electro scene organically since his first homonymous album. Before that in Soundcloud he had his first appearances and has now released a new song that has completely different bright perspective over his previous music.

Beach Fossils – “Somersault” Symphonies

From the Brooklyn, New York area, Beach Fossils are since 2009 the portal where Dustin Payseur has showcased his impressive and unique vocal capabilities by creating one of the best Dream Pop Bands in the scene. At the time with John Pena in the Bass, that has now left to form “Heavenly Beat”; Zachary Cole Smith on the drums that is now the frontman of DIIV and finally Christopher Burke with the guitar that left for his solo project “Red Romans”. Now in 2017 they have released their best mission statement yet!

Benjamin Booker – Grungy Blues

Turning 28 years old next week, Benjamin Booker has released last week his new album “Witness”, his second full-length work towards Blues Greatness with a heavy gained guitar then delivers simple yet poignant solos. To add to his masterful qualities behind the guitar we have a unique voice that bears the hoarseness of Cobain’s lost one combined with the soul of a Gary Clark Jr.

Alt-j (∆) – Variation of a Variable

Ten years ago in Leeds University four friends decided to join and create a band that would revolutionise Indie Rock forever. Alt-j is the combination in the keyboard of your computer to create Delta (∆). To create the difference. The variable that is able to do a variation in a function, mathematically speaking; the fourth letter of the Greek Alphabet, literally speaking and one of the greatest bands of the century, Musically Speaking.
