Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Vol.2

Whether or not you enjoy this Marvel series, it must be noted that not many blockbusters contain soundtracks of this magnitude. Leader of it all, music producer Tyler Bates, managed to put together two movie worth of great tunes from the ‘70s and ‘80s that took the first movie’s soundtrack to the top of the charts, for many weeks across the world.

Featuring the songs present on the protagonist’s mixtape in the film, the “Awesome Mix Vol.1” contained some great songs such as: “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” – Marvin Gaye, “Escape (Pina Colada)” – Rupert Holmes, “Moonage Daydream” – David Bowie and “I’m Not In Love” – 10cc amongst many others.

For the new movie which came out not so long ago, the “Awesome Mix Vol.2” brings us a whole new batch of tunes that deserve a listen. Whilst I could write all day about the songs ranging from The J.B.’s to Al Green, I’ve decided to link you some of the best ones and if you want to check out the playlist, it’s also on Spotify (link below)!
